Scope and Contents From the Series:

Sub-series contains records of artists Cortez worked with and exhibitions he either curated or contributed to, including those of Jean Michel Basquiat, Gilbert and George, and William S. Burroughs. In addition to correspondence and printed media (such as exhibition catalogues and postcards), the sub-series is rich with visual records, including photographs, slides, and transparencies. Of note is original artwork by Keith Haring and mementoes from Andy Warhol's funeral.
