Scope and Contents The museum is named after and filled with the art collections of Katherine Dunham, an East St. Louis institutional leader. The museum is located in within the Pennsylvania awards Avenue Historic District in a building on the Illinois Historic Registry and was directly tied into the Cultural Redevelopment District Plan.
