Scope and Contents Description: Three bifolia from an antiphonary with square musical notation on red, 4-line staves. Written in Latin in a high-grade Southern Textualis Formata (Rotunda) script on parchment. Leaves numbered 146 – 151. Red rubrication, and alternating red and blue initials decorated with pen flourishes. Text begins “Agnus coram tondente se” and ends, “Quem terra pontus ethera”, and contains part of the feast of the Annunciation of the Virgin. Provenance:...
