The major operations center for the bank, Chase Metrotech consists of a two building complex whose large lower floors act as a podium for the slender 23-story tower. The simple geometric forms and the use of such detailing as corbelled brick corners respond sympathetically to the character of the neighboring 19th-century landmarked houses. At the same time, the backlit tower distinguishes the complex on the Brooklyn skyline.
