Includes letters from the editors of the Rural New Yorker concerning specific subject matter and rate of compensation for articles on veterinary medicine; letters commenting favorably on Charles Kendall Adams and Robert Henry Thurston; letters describing living conditions and economic opportunities in El Paso, Texas; papers relating to Kilborne's work testing cattle for the New York State Board of Health Tuberculosis Committee and an account of Kilborne's study of Texas cattle fever, 1933-36.

BIOGRAPHICAL NOTE
Veterinarian. Fred Lucius Kilborne graduated from Cornell with a degree in Agriculture in 1881 and in Veterinary medicine in 1884. He directed the Veterinary Experiment Station in Washington D.C. for nine years before returning to Kelloggsville, N.Y.
