BIOGRAPHICAL NOTE

Diedrich Willers Sr. was born in Germany and came to the United States after having served with the Hanoverian forces at the Battle of Waterloo. Diedrich Willers Jr. (1833-1908) was secretary of New York State (1878), and a Democratic assemblyman from Seneca County.
