BIOGRAPHICAL NOTE
Professor of Child Development and Family Relationships, Cornell University. Dr. Wylie established the extension program in Family Life.
Margaret Wylie earned her bachelor's, master's, and doctorate degrees from the University of Michigan. She arrived at the College of Home Economics in 1925 and for three years she initiated extension institutes and follow-up programs in eight counties in New York State. She left Cornell to complete her Ph.D. in psychology and retuned in 1930 and remained until 1957. She was responsible for developing child study clubs and establishing Cornell's extension program in family life.
