COLLECTION DESCRIPTION

Includes materials for the Cebuano dictionary project. This was a project to prepare a dictionary of Cebuano, a language of the Philippines. which resulted in the publications in 1972 of Cebuano Visayan Dictionary. Includes tape recordings and their transcriptions and a concordance of all roots found in the Cebuano translation of the Old and New Testaments. Lists of words for the dictionary with their sources and definitions and interviews. Includes Javanese, Indonesian, Malay, and Tagalog dialects. Also information on other minor Phillippine languages.
