ORGANIZATIONAL HISTORY

The library at the Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine was founded on September 21, 1897. It was originally named after New York State governor, Roswell P. Flower, but became the Flower-Sprecher Veterinary Library in 1992 when it was renamed to recognize the generosity of Dr. and Mrs. Isidor I. Sprecher.
