BIOGRAPHICAL NOTE
Professor McNair received a master's degree from the University of Colorado School of Engineering, where he began his teaching career. In 1949, he joined the Cornell University faculty as professor of civil engineering and head of the Surveying Department. His fields of teaching and research were in photogrammetry, geodesy, land surveying, and remote sensing.
