BIOGRAPHICAL NOTE
Ruby Green Smith received a B.A. and M.A. from Stanford University and a Ph.D. from Cornell in 1914. In 1918 she was appointed Deputy Food Commissioner for New York State and two years later became State Leader of Home Demonstration Agents at Cornell University, a position she held until her retirement in 1946.
