Abstract

COLLECTION ARRANGEMENT
The job lists indicate the date and subject of photography assignments. Assignment numbers consist of year, month, and day. Example: 7043=April 3, 1970. During the mid 1980's there was a slight change to the numbering system. During these years a leading A was used to replace the number 8. Example: A40801=August 1, 1984. Halfway through 1985, the numbering system returned to its original form. The assignment numbers refer to both the negatives and corresponding contact sheets. The contact sheets should be consulted first. If no contact sheet is in the box indicated then the negative rolls from the file cabinets can be used.
