The following items cannot be requested for reading room use or for casual viewing, but scholarly needs can be met per curatorial review and availability of staff to facilitate special access: MU-3968, MU-3970, MU-3974, MU-3975, MU-3976

Software and digital files stored on obsolete formats are closed to researchers pending digital processing.

Mold present in all open-reel tapes and videotapes except the following: tr-16422-16426, 16428-16430, 16436-16437, 16439, 16445, 16465-16466, 16468-16470, 16473-16477, 16480, 16486, V-10451-10453, and V-10871. Individuals with weak immune systems may need to take extra precautions.

Restrictions on Use:

Phonograph records in boxes 19, 71, and 109 have been remediated for mold. Consider using nitrile gloves when directly handling.

Processing Information

After a processing attention request, a) Box 6 was reprocessed: adding existing folder titles in Aspace, adding dates to the physical folder and Aspace. Included the plates in Folder with a note in the scope and content. b) Added at the Scope and Content: It also includes address lists and correspondence with individuals whose last names could not be determined. Folder 29, Walter Sear correspondence, includes facsimiles of four letters (Nov. 4, 1965 Walter to Moog; Nov. 8, 1965 Moog to Walter; July 12, 1966 Moog to Walter; July 8, 1966 Walter to Moog). The originals were on loan from Brian Kehew for an exhibition.
