BIOGRAPHICAL NOTE

Benmarl uses the slogan America's Oldest Vineyard. The winery is located in the Hudson Valley. Mark Miller and family took over the estate in 1957 naming it Benmarl. Ben is Gaelic for hill and marl describes soil. Miller helped lobby to pass winery legislation in New York. Benmarl holds N.Y. State Farm Winery Act license #1. Miller is also a noted wardrobe designer, illustrator and author.
