BIOGRAPHICAL NOTE
Lucy M. Stoddard was born on May 28, 1839 in Palmyra, N.Y., the daughter of James O. and Luciena M. Stoddard. She was a primary and Sunday school teacher for most of her adult life, and was active in church and educational societies. In July, l86l, she was made superintendent of the Sunday school
