BIOGRAPHICAL NOTE

Sherrer was a sports running journalist and a competitive track, and road racer in distances ranging from the mile to the marathon; she co-founded the Finger Lakes Runners Club Women's Distance Classic and served as the Finger Lakes Runners Club Newsletter editor for nineteen years. She promoted women's running and encouraged women's team participation.
