Peter Harrison seabird artwork

The Peter Harrison seabird artwork collection features around 380 sketches and illustrations created between 1983 and 2020. Artworks were primarily made for the book Seabirds: The New Identification Guide (2021). The collection also includes finished plates for publication and illustrations from other books such as Seabirds: An Identification Guide (1983) and its revised edition (1985) and Seabirds of the World: A Photographic Guide (1987). Additionally, it contains commissioned works and illustrations by Hans Larsson. Some pieces are accompanied by graphite sketches of the depicted birds, intended to be displayed together to showcase Peter Harrison’s process when creating the birds.
