Files for grants made by the Atlantic Philanthropies in the United States between 1982 and 2013. Since 1982, $3.1b in grants were made in the United States-- the first of which was an anonymous gift of $7 million to found the Cornell Tradition. Cornell would remain Atlantic's main grantee. In addition to education, Atlantic's primary areas of giving in the US have included medical research, expanded health care, supporting children and older adults, and championing societal and racial equity.
