Correspondence addressed to Hodge, foldered alphabetically by correspondent. Letters from many late nineteenth century and early twentieth century anthropologists, archaeologists, ethnologists, professors, and individuals otherwise connected to Indians of North America. Correspondents include individuals working for museums, colleges and universities, including the American Anthropological Association, Columbia University, and the Smithsonian Institution. Some of the letters are annotated with additional information regarding the correspondent or the content of the letter.
