COLLECTION DESCRIPTION
This collection from a West Coast club promoter offers a glimpse of punk and new wave influenced music, art, film, and underground culture in the San Francisco Bay Area in the late 1970s and early 1980s. Approximately 333 flyers, handbills and posters advertising punk and new wave music and art shows and events in Berkeley, San Francisco, Oakland, and other California Bay Area venues. Bands represented include The Dead Kennedys, D.O.A., The Nuns, The Dils, The Misfits, The Avengers, Iggy Pop, ; events represented include "Rock Against Racism 1980", "End Barrio Warfare!", and "Rock Against Reagan."
