South Bronx Photography, 1978-1979

Photos of various locations in the Bronx in various locations, particularly along Prospect Avenue above 149th St. Some of the photos depict early graffiti and street art. Many street portraits of unidentified individuals. One print depicts a 1978 protest of funding cuts for sports programs in South Bronx high schools. One shot of a vacant lot at Westchester Ave. and Brook Ave. was used as the cover image for the book Next Stop: Growing Up Wild Style by Ivan Sanchez (Touchstone, 2008).
