Literary Lapses - Student Compositions from the High School of Burris Lab School at Ball State Teachers College, 1954-1956

Johnson, an African American drag queen who was a prominent participant in the 1969 Stonewall uprising in New York City and was an outspoken advocate for gay rights. Also includes interviews, reviews and awards for his writing (including the Lambda Literary Award) and the work of Calamus Books, as well as personal and family papers, including journals and diaries and a copy of Mitchell's baby book.
