Physical Description: 9 p. on 3 leaves; letter autographed signed Summary: Pierre shows all the difficulties he has to cultivate French Guyana for the Compagnie, his deseases, the deaths of most people who worked for him, his need of more slaves, and his wish to go back to France. Letter begins: "Madame/Quand je partis pour la Guyanne, j'étois si flatté de la confiance dont vous aviés parru m'honnorer que je me proposai de vous rendre compte de mes travaux..."
