Physical Description: 3 leaves; 34 cm; manuscript signed (photograph), original in the Archives nationales. Accompanied by a detailed letter of appeal to the Emperor (see Lavoisier MSS. 3.35b).Summary: Asks the Emperor to read their defense concerning the Lemercier affair. Letter begins: "A Sa Majesté / L'Empereur et Roi, / Sire, / Deux de vos plus fidèles sujets, deux membres / de votre institut…"
