Scope and Contents

Small decorative napkin embroidered on the occasion of a ball in the honor of Lafayette which took place in Cincinatti in May 1825. Adorned with a portrait of Lafayette, laurels and roses. Among the managers, of whom a list is printed here, were: The Hon. Jacob Burnet (Associate Justice of the Ohio Supreme Court and future U.S. Senator), Gen. and U.S. Senator William Henry Harrisson (future U.S. President), as well as Mrs. Findlay, Lytle, Piatt, Macfarland, Oliver, Neville, Kilgour, Symmes, Febiger, Este, Rogers, Woodruff, Irwin, Foster, Hatch, Worthington, and Macalister.
