The particulars of the story are taken from "The Trial of Elizabeth Canning, Spinster for Wilful & Corrupt Perjury...Monday the 29th of April to Wednesday the 8th of May 1754" from "The 1766 Edition of State Trials". With revisions in Ford's hand.
