Correspondence, memoranda, reports, statements, and clippings relating to Taylor's service as personal representative of President Truman to Pope Pius XII and U.S. Ambassador on Special Missions. Includes material relating to the refugee situation in Europe, 1938-47, and to meetings of Protestant clergymen with Taylor in New York City, October 1947 and May 1949. Correspondents include Harry S. Truman and Pope Pius XII.
