Letter from C. W. de Kiewiet to Deane W. Malott, December 30, 1960, replying to a letter of sympathy on the death of de Kiewiet's daughter. de Kiewiet recalls Paul Tillich, while talking about the international conflict, saying that the great efforts that we are making to maintain ourselves are also the great efforts which may destroy us.
