Susan Mehringer: Batch/CCS, 2000
COLLECTION DESCRIPTION
The collection contains digital files, created by Chris Pelkie, of videotapes and DVDs from the Cornell Theory Center Visualization Group. The earliest tape is probably from 1988, and the most recent visualization movies (not necessarily tape) are from 2008. For the most part, these are scientific visualizations, i.e., graphics produced from numeric data. Most represent either/or time series or motion sequence (rotation, for example) of the visualized phenomena. There are a few live action videos, shot of the visualization studio or at trade shows or workshops, etc. Some of the more highly produced videos include narration and/or music beds. Many are silent. Most have titles/credits/attributions.
