The Barry Strauss papers document the teaching, research, and administrative activities of Barry S. Strauss (born in 1953), dating from 1976 to 2021. Papers contain his teaching material on ancient Greek, Roman and military history, divided by courses, with related notes, syllabi, exams, course evaluations, and more, as well as his handwritten and typed notes on his lectures, along with photocopies of associated articles. His manuscripts and research files encompass the research for various publications, such as The Battle of Salamis (2004), The Trojan War (2006), The Spartacus War (2009), and The Death of Caesar (2015). The collection includes a few administrative files.
