Scope and Contents

Several of the number plates are autographed by the athletes. The plates include Frank Foss, (Cornell '17) signed, Joseph Guillemot, Albert Hill signed (also appears signed by Horace Hallock Brown, Hannes Kolehmainen, Richmond Landon signed, Frank Loomis signed (also signed by Frank Sheehan Cornell trainer, Pat McDonald signed, Charley Paddock, Bevil Rudd, Patrick Ryan signed, and Earl Thomson. The one for Allen Woodring is missing. There are also two that have name labels that do not correspond with who won gold. They are shot put labeled "Finnthuma" actually won by Ville Pörhölä and broad jump labeled "Finna" actually won by William Petersson. Also includes a picture of Jack Moakley and Frank Sheehan and a U.S. Olympic track team patch. See photo on CD-1941 (located in Box 1, as well) for picture before it was disassembled.
