3 original slides used in Cortez's lecture/performance 'Hospital Colors' performed at 'April Meeting' in Belgrade (1975) and Artists Space, NYC (1976). The lecture analyzed the chromatics of institutional interiors.

COLLECTION DESCRIPTION From the Collection: The collection features material focused on Cortez's activities as co-founder and manager of the Mudd Club, 1977-1979, with items by or relating to artists with whom he collaborated, such as Jimmy de Sana, Arto Lindsay, Kathy Acker, James Nares and Boris Policeband, and Diego's original artwork for the seminal "No New York" (1978) LP. Cortez was employed as a security guard at MoMA in 1974-75. He was invited to make a show at the Whitney Museum Art Resources Center. The exhibition was titled 'Xerox and Blood' and opened in Spring, 1975. Cortez's made several conceptual wall series which dealt with the issues of security and art. One series reflects on the attack on Picasso's Guernica by artist Tony Shafrazi.
